 It was invented by Lee Jang-son during the reign of King Seonjo. The surface is cast iron and is like a round gourd, and the inside is loaded with gunpowder and pieces of iron.

 

 

This is the contents of the annals of King Seonjo, recorded on September 1, 1592 (the 25th year of King Seonjo), when the Imjin War broke out. At the time,

a round-shaped iron ball flew into Gyeongju Castle, which was occupied by the Japanese army. While the Japanese soldiers were scrambling to see this iron ball in wonder, 

the object suddenly exploded and the iron pieces shattered like stars. About 20 people died instantly. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to being designated as a treasure by the National Palace Museum of Korea, Bigyeokjincheonroe that still remains is excavated from the Gohyeonseong Fortress Site in Gohari, 

Gojeon-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, fragments excavated from the Jinju Fortress Site, and excavated from Seokmari, Samseo-myeon, Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do,
