Developing products suitable for modern life using mother-of-pearl lacquerware, one of the Tongyeong 12 workshops that have been used since the Joseon Dynasty.
The 12th Workshop was a munitions factory that manufactured and procured various items needed for the Joseon Navy stationed in Tongyeong.
Now, over 400 years later, Tongyeong has established itself as a city of culture and art.
In Tongyeong, a city of culture and art, artisans and designers collaborate to revive the splendor of mother-of-pearl lacquerware.
The concept of the work is Flat, Movement, and Reflection, and these three elements are important elements in each work, such as mirrors, hinges, and decorations that decorate oneself and make the house shine.
